Search This Code: Search Current Code Only. The screen to the right will divide in two parts: the Search column and the chapter screen. In the center Search column, type the keywords which you want to find within the E-Code into the box titled Enter Search Request. Choose the type of search you wish to make: Fuzzy Logic, Root Word, Phonic or Natural Language. Fuzzy: A fuzzy logic search will find the keywords you are looking for even if they are misspelled. For instance, a fuzzy search for "lisenses" will also find "licenses." Fuzzy searches are helpful if the text contains typographical errors, or if you are unsure how to spell a word. Root Word: The root word option looks for words that have the same 'stem' as the word you entered in the search field. For example, entering the word "license" and performing a root word search will return results including "licenses," "licensing," "licensed", etc. Phonic: A phonic search looks for a word that sounds like the keyword you are searching for and begins with the same letter. An example would be searching for "guarantee." The search results would include "guaranty" as well. If you are using multiple keywords, you can limit the phonic search to a single word by using the pound (#) character in front of it. For instance, if you are searching for "bond" and "guarantee", you can limit the phonic search for the second word by keying "bond #guarantee" in the search field. Natural Language: A natural language search allows the user to enter "natural" conversational phrases rather than just keywords. This means that you can ask such questions as "how much do dog licenses cost?" Results are weighted by the number of times the words in your search question appear within the chapters. Click the Go button to begin the search. The Search Results will be displayed in the center column. The number of times the keywords you submitted occur within a specific chapter will appear to the left of the Chapter title. Click on the Chapter you wish to view and the text will appear on the right side of the screen.
