The Town of Ithaca Public
Works Facility is
located at 106 Seven Mile Drive and functions as a public steward
providing snow removal; paving; yard waste collection; vegetation
control; storm water management;
and parks, trails, water, sanitary
sewer, and road maintenance
services. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Phone number is (607) 273-1656.
A particularly
noteworthy service of the Public Works Facility is the free compost and chips
which town residents can pick up at the facility on Seven Mile
Drive. This is available to town residents only, and not available
to contractors.
Town residents may bring
brush to the facility and drop it off without charge. Once again,
this is available to town residents and not to commercial entities..
The
Public Works Department
also assists the Town Board and other departments with projects to be
completed within the Town. The Public Works Department strives to make the Town
of Ithaca a very pleasant, worthwhile town in which to live.
